Finally Have the Energy to Share My Gr8 News

Yesterday, I logged onto the Bump, read like two posts, commented, and passed out for bed... it was 7PM. There was SOOO much I wanted to share with you all though.

I'll give the briefest possible synopsis here and document the rest in my blog (y'all, check it out! It's pretty new with no followers yet and that makes me sad).

Soooo.....

Insurance - I've been having HELL thanks to my job screwing me over and then my university getting a piece, too. I'd alllllmost given up but the idea of paying for everything out of pocket made me call and lay on the guilt with my company's insurance provider - not Cigna, but the actual company we go through. Long story short, I'm now insured AND my visit to the emergency room two weeks ago will also be included because they set my start date to December 1st, 2009 (when it SHOULD HAVE been). Yay!

Baby Bump - I was 101 lbs pre-baby. I'm now 108. Ha. I've NEVER been over 102. I've been kinda insecure with my "baby bump" because, well, it ain't baby. It's bloat and food. Still, I had a minor heat attack at work and had to take off my jacket. The ladies on my team went NUTS ooh'ing and ahh'ing and talking to the "baby." I thought I'd be weirded out by this, but it actually left me smiling during the rest of my half day of work.

Ultrasound - I've been going to a pro-life non-profit health clinic that I've actually volunteered with in the past and my mom was a counselor before we started our mentoring non-profit. Yesterday was my second official visit. I got to go back and get an ultrasound. Now, I saw an ultrasound at 6 wks when I went to the ER, but that bleh didn't look like a baby... more like a pulsating bleh. lol. Well, oh my goodness, there's a bun in my oven!!! I saw the tiniest arms (and the biggest head) and such a cute little body. And when we got a steady image, the most adorable heartbeat ever (besides all of your babies, hehe). I mean seriously... I'm in love. Absolutely, positively in love.

Now... if only he or she could love me back and let me stop puking all over the place. ;-)
