Finding a babysitter...online?

Tell me if I'm just going crazy but I'm sick of having to call everyone in my phone just to see if someone is able to watch the little one. Its offered all the time, just not convenient to when I need a sitter. So... have any of you used an online babysitter website? I found a couple that do extensive background checks and is decent priced but there is still that " not knowing who these people are" feeling in the back of me and my husbands head. I just want someone to be able to call and not worry about stressing out if no one can watch her. If you can refer a great one in the Denver, Co area I can check out that would be great. Any advice is great! Thanks!

I am part of Care.com and I was hired off of their website!  Have you also looked into your local rec center that offers CPR/babysitting classes? Sometimes they give you lists of babysitters in their classes!
