Pain medication question

Third paragraph.  I thought Nubain was an anti-itch medication?  It's what was given to me through my IV after being itchy from the epidural.

Well, Nubain is a narcotic, but I've never heard of it being used in labor. We use it for, like you said, itchiness after the epidural. However, I did google it and found this...

Yeah, I saw all that too and was curious about where the anti-itch info went because I swear to God that's why it was given to me.  I remember specifically that I was upset I couldn't have anymore upon finding out it was  an IV only drug.  It made me very sleepy and mostly that's why I wanted more.  Being in the hospital after a csection, it was the only way I could sleep actually.
