Oh, MIL... lots of sex

I can hear her downstairs talking to DH about how she would have thought I would be further along (effaced and dialated) than I am, which is nothing at all. We're talking sealed up tight. I'm not sure why she (and the rest of the IL's) think I should be going early. My EDD is 12 days away.

So anyways, MIL is telling DH how we should start having lots of sex to speed things up! Now, DH really really is very prudish when it comes to talking about sex unless it's to me. He's just telling her that he's not gonna talk about that with her and she keeps on pushing. I'm sure he's blushing, but I'm not going down there to look. I hear about how we should be having sex all day from her.

That's too funny! My DH is the same way. He wouldn't be able to talk about to his mom either. Then again, she wouldn't be able to bring it up!

Just from your posts today, your MIL sounds like she is having some major boundary issues! I'm pretty sure both my mom and my mil would never bring up sex with us lol. I guess it's good that she is comfortable with her son lol!

Ew. My MIL and her bestfriend came by our house Sunday and while in our front yard her BFF starts yelling....Go have lots and lots of sex to get that baby here!!!!!!!! We live in the middle of town so I'm sure every neighbor heard it along with us. Mortifying!!!!!!

Holy crap- my MIL barely acknowledges that I am pregnant, let alone the fact that DH and I have sex and I don't think she ever gave any thought to my cervix... jebus.  She was horrified when she visited DD and I in the hospital and I told her I delivered her in that room.

DH came upstairs a few minutes ago and said she was driving him insane. I told him he should stay home with her all day long!

I comfort myself with the knowledge that she won't be staying with us forever and that she'll go home someday. Plus she's painting for me. I like free labor.

My mom told me the same thing a few days ago. I am overdue now and STILL am only a finger-tip dilated so you still have time...
