Spotting? RP from SAIF
So I am 9w6d today. I posted earlier that I just stopped Endometrin (3x
a day) on 1/31. This morning I started brown spotting. Its on and off
and small amounts. I called the nurse at my RE and she said that its
normal in early pregnancy and to just keep an eye on it. I guess I am
still just nervous. I have no cramping or anything. Anyone else have
spotting at this stage?

I actually spotted from weeks 11-13 - all brown, but sometimes heavy. I was seen twice for the spotting and the OB was able to pick up the heartbeat via doppler. I also had an u/s to try and determine why I was bleeding, but the couldn't find anything. LO was measuring a week ahead, was very active and had a healthy heartbeat at that appointment as well.
It wasn't until a level II u/s at 20 weeks that the tech was able to pick up on a small placental tear that had clotted and healed, which was probably where the blood came from during my first tri.
Try not to worry. It is a good sign that you do not have any cramping. Light spotting that is brown is old blood. Like your doc said, keep an eye on it. If it turns red and/or you soak a pad in an hour or less, call back. HTH...
Yesterday morning I had a small amount of brown spotting, nickle size. I called my doctor in a panic. I did have cramps that accompanied it BUT I have had cramps off and on since I got my BFP. They said not to worry unless I have painful cramps...like cant move....along with lots of bright red blood and clots. She said the brown discharge is old from something else.I have been trying to focus on that for about the last 24 hours but I know it can be hard. Good Luck!
