I really want to try it, but I imagine that with the whole Italian girl thing it will take a bazillion sessions to actually rid me of the excess hair. Does it hurt at all? Or make your skin bad?
I've had it done on my face and my underarms. I don't think it hurts all that much but it does feel like someone snapping you in the face with a rubberband. It works best on dark hair. I've been very happy with the results. It is really expensive though, so take that into consideration.
I have very dark hair and very light skin and it has been wonderful!!!!
I did my legs 3 times over 8 years ago, and there are virtually no hairs remaining. I've done my arms as well, and don't have any hair there either.
Hell, I've done almost my whole body, and I would recommend it, but I would go somewhere reputable. Not a sona or whatever. Like a dermatologist that has an fda approved machine that is approved for permanent hair reduction. Find out what machine they use and research it.
But if you don't have really dark hair and light skin, I don't think it would be worth the expense.
I had it done and I have blonde hair. It worked really well but it was on a small area. I had about 3 appts and never had the hair reappear.
Ami - you had it done on stretch marks? I didn't get them with DS1 but they are starting to appear on my lower abdomen very noticeable! Did it work? Is it very expensive? I want to get my tattoo removed there as well.
Re: So, has anyone done laser hair removal?
My BIL won a contest to get his back hair removed..he said it hurt, but the results are worth it.
I think it works best with dark hair, blonde hair doesn't work that well. You should try it!
I've done it a couple times, yes it hurt. I've also had the laser done a couple times for stretch marks(didn't hurt) and for spider veins(hurt).
(I work in a plastic surgery office, we got to try the laser out free a couple times. )
I did it about 8 years ago, so technology has probably changed.
It hurt like crap. It worked, but you kind of have to keep going back for touch ups.
