BFNs before BFP - stupid ? i know

please don't flame -

this did not happen last time around - i tested bfp a day before i was due -so i'm thinking my body's just acting up - but i'm not usually late on my cycle. i tested neg yesterday and decided not to test again today - to just wait it out - but i'm beginning to wonder how late is late enough to wonder

So, I figured i'd ask how many of you ladies tested BFN before actually getting a BFP?

well, you could be "due" later, which meant you tested too early. Most girls will get a positive test at 8dpo at the earliest.

I got a BFN and 9 DPO and got a BFP at 10 DPO. If you don't know when you ovulated you don't know if you are actually late. Even if you are normally regular your body can give you a screwy cycle.

i could tell from my temps and other signs that something different was up but i still got a bfn at 9 dpo. i tested again at 11 dpo and got positives on both $ tree and digital tests.

are you charting? if not, there's really no way you can know when you ovulated or when to test. unfortunately, past cycle lengths don't have anything to do with this one.

I missed my period by three months! I kid you not, 3 whole months! Each test I took came up - until 3 days before it popped up +. I think it all depends on what is going on in your life at the time and your stress level. I was having some trouble at work, then my mom passed away and the holidays hit..... Needless to say I was a little stressed out. But here I am nearly 9 weeks in and going strong!

I got a bfn at 10DPO I believe,, then tested about 4 or 5 days later and got a BFP..

No - I'm not charting b/c although we'd love to have LOs close we weren't 'trying' so I haven't started charting again. I charted last time around and am not liking this unknown timing of my cycle. I'm gonna have to start again once AF decides to show....

Well....I started taking tests around 9 DPO and continued until about 14DPO ...all negatives. then i went to see the DR. after not getting a period for about 45 days since last cylce, she tested me in the office....negative!! went for blood work two days later and got the call that i WAS pregnant!

I had been writing down symptoms for the whole month...and looking back i got my first symptoms the week i concieved. And although i did ovulate late (around CD23) it took such a long time for the HCG to show up on a pee test. So go figure!

I tested N and P on the same day (DPO 11). The BFN was mid-morning after a lot of coffee and therefore diluted pee, but I just "knew" I was pregnant and tested late evening and got a pretty dark positive.

I got a BFN 9dpo, and BFP at 16dpo.

I was charting and got BFN's at 9, 10, 11 and 12 DPO. I got my BFP at 13 DPO.

I got pregnant my first month off the pill. I figured the changes in hormones could make me late, so I didn't test until I was a full week late for AF.
