Baby fever

Has your pregnancy caused any baby fever? I work with alot of young women (19-31) and several talk babies all the time now. These girls hated kids, some don't even have boyfriends! I think it's great, like I have the new toy everyone else wants. How weird.

Re: Baby fever

  • Yes it has actually.  I saw one of my friends over Christmas break.  She and her hubby have always been very adamant about not having kids.  Well, she was all over my belly and talking about having one of her own.  She went as far to say that the next time we see her in June, she might be pregnant.  Her husband just sat next to her with this face ->Indifferent

    Talk about awkward.

  • Yes, with one of my co-workers.  Before I got pregnant, she talked about not wanting kids for another 4-5 years.  In the beginning of my pregnancy, she decided that they were going to start trying in May, after they renewed their wedding vows.  Now, as I've gotten bigger, and closer to my due date, she says that she would be ok with being up to 3 months pregnant when they renew their vows because she *should* be able to still fit into her dress.

  • Nope. The exact opposite really. It's inspired my friends to be much more cautious about birth control.
  • I am one of 3 girls knocked up in my office.. and 1 guy's wife is expecting.  We are all due within weeks of each other.  Weird.
  • Yes, one of my friends got together with his girlfriend at about the same time I met my husband. In the past 3 years we have gotten married and pregnant. They are still dating.

She is now putting serious pressure on him, so bad that they are not talking at the moment because she wants to get married and have a baby and he does not. Baring in mind that she is 35 and he is 41, neither have been married or have any kids.

    This, lol.

However, there's a LOT of pregnant women at my company, at least in my area, and several guys whose wives are expecting.  I'd say there's ten of us total.  I'm not the last one due, and I think two of the girls are already out of work, but my stomach rivals all of them, sigh.
