UTI....ugh! and question

Blah...so I went to my regularly scheduled dr appt today.  I didn't feel any pain or discomfort that would lead me to believe that I would have a UTI but apparently I do.  (now that I've been home for a while though I am starting to feel it..yuck!)...I'm glad that they caught it so early and hopefully we can kick this out of my system before it gets worse.  BUT..QUESTION:  It says take one pill twice daily...but doesn't say how far apart they should be taken.  Just took one now, should I take on in morning and one in evening or one in afternoon and evening...I dont want to mess stuff up.  So WDYT?

    Generally that means approx 12 hrs apart--- if you took one just now, take one around 9 am.  9 am/9pm, etc.

    The same thing happened to me at my last appointment! I tried to just take one pill with my breakfast and one with my dinner. Also, cranberry juice helps :)

    Like PP have said, one in the morning and one at night.  Also Cranberry juice helps a TON!  Chug that stuff, it helps with the discomfort.

    Thanks guys!  I figured the best route would be one in am and one in pm...but I wanted to be sure.  Hopefully this stuff goes away quickly...and I'll be getting some cranberry juice in the morning!!

    I agree as someone above- take them 12 hrs apart....you could always ask the pharmacy too.

    I went to my regular appointment on Tuesday, my urine was clear.

    I woke up on Saturday with a raging UTI. They called in Macrobid and I took it twice a day (I just tried to make it about every 12 hours).

    I also got some AZO standard. I took two doses every 8 hours, Lobster's BFF is a pharmacist and he said it was safe.

    Thats what he prescribed me Macrobid.  Hopefully this will all be over by the end of the week and I wont have to worry about it!
