Worried about discharge

Hi!

I am sorry if this is a lot of information but, I am 5 weeks 5 days and am really nervous about all the miscarriage posts. I noticed a vaginal discharge today, initially I thought it was urine but, I had just used the ladies room so couldn't have been that. When I checked it looked watery and I am afraid it might be amniotic fluid. Some sites say it's normal but, how can I tell?

My 1st doc appt isn't until 11th of Feb and I am freaking out. What should I do?

Is it clear or white?  If so, that sounds normal to me.

Call your doctor if you are concerned or have other problems.

sounds normal. I'm having that fear as well!! But you do have alot more discharge while pregant then normal. but i def know the feeling!!

I'm sure you're fine. By you thinking it was urine, I'm assuming it was thin. I had that, too... I wasn't concerned about it at all.

As far as it being amniotic fluid or a miscarriage - I'm no doctor but.....

With a miscarriage, you wouldn't be concerned about discharge. You'd have cramping and blood that gradually becomes bright red - often with clots (but not always right away).

Surely everything will be fine.  I went to the dr today because of spotting and cramping.  I am 7 wks.  They did an ultrasound to how things were and everything was fine.  We got to see the baby, which looked like a peanut and the heartbeat.  It's heartbeat was 147. It was amazing!  So don't worry everything will be fine.

Thanks everyone!! This is really helpful, I will call my Doc in the morning just in case. This is my 1st pregnancy and I am not usually one to freak out but, not knowing what's going on... well you can imagine. Definately gonna sleep ok because of you all

It's slightly yellowish with a mild odor but, not strong I could only cuz of the heightened smelling senses.

I get that a lot. It's normal.

It's normal...there will be a lot of discharge during pregnancy, you've got to get used to it...even though it is kind of gross at times.

I could be wrong, but at 5 weeks 5 days I'm not sure you would hardly notice if you had amniotic fluid leaking out. There's really not much in there I don't think. It could just be CM, which is very common and will happen through your whole pregnancy. Pantiliners will be your friend!
