Spent the morning in L&D. I feel like a spaz :( long.

So last night I lost a huge chuck of MP, had some major bloody show. I felt achey and crampy when I went to bed. At 1:30am -4:30am I kept being woken up with contractions - first time that they hurt, even though I have been getting them for months. These took my breath away, I had to concentrate, didn't want to talk or move, etc. SO I thought, hm, this could be it! by 7am they were coming every 7 minutes. Since I THOUGHT I was having a c-section, I assumed that I should go in before I got to 4 minutes apart, so they could prep me etc. So at 10am, contractions were still happening, I called and they said to come in.?

In we went, thinking this was it. Guess what? 1 CM. Ha!! 90% effaced! The contractions were persistent and still 7 minutes. They checked the babies, (both head down) and let me leave. ?I really thought that I was having these babies! Turns out I am a perfect candidate for vbac, which made me VERY happy!! But still, I called every relative and had them on the way and it was NOTHING! LOL at me!

Now that I know I'm not planning a c/s unlesI get to my c/s date, I understand not to come in unless they are 4 min apart and VERY strong.

Oh well, one to grow on!?

    It sounds like you are getting close :)  You are not a spaz you are just being cautious, which is good, great in fact.  I mean you do not want to deliver twins by yourself at home or in your car.  You will be holding your little ones before you know it best of luck!

    That sucks.  I was so sure that I was in labor at 36w (T-Giving weekend) because I was getting them 7-9 minutes apart for several hours, they went away overnight.  That's great that you can try for a VBAC if you decide to go that way (and don't make it to your c/s).

    I would have thought that was the real deal too!  Here's hoping it happens soon and congrats on being able to do VBAC if you go earlier!
