Happy Monday...

Hope you ladies are all doing well!!
Today, I am so tired, I can barely keep my head up. Friday afternoon I started with this nasty cough. I don't feel sick otherwise; no congestion, runny nose, nothing like that. But this cough that just won't quit. Of course, it gets worse at night, so it's keeping me up at night. DH went up to the pharmacy at 1am early Saturday morning, but the pharmacist said she didn't feel comfortable recommending something for me, since I'm pregnant. Joy...thanks...that was a big help...

Yesterday, I did manage to get my 10 mile run in, but today, I'm paying for it. I'm sore (which I never used to get sore after a run, as I'm so used to it), the cough is still hanging around, and I'm exhausted. To make matters worse, one of my co-workers is in a training course all well, so there's only 2 of us in the office, so I can't call in sick.

Oh yeah...I also feel all I did all weekend was eat, and the fact that my pants no longer do up does not make me feel better (although, I do know that's baby, not food)...I did burn over 1000 calories on that run yesterday...that's gotta count for something, right??

Thanks for listening to me whine. I'm done now, and still over the moon and totally in love with the little one!! Just needed to get that out!

Re: Happy Monday...

  • Sorry about not feeling well.  I've had a pretty active weekend too and am looking forward to a easy 'rest day' swim this evening.  Saturday, I did a 25 mile fixed gear bike ride (I only have one gear and no coasting allowed) and did a 6 mile run on Sunday.  I've been eating like crazy too.  Everytime I'm home I am munching on something.  It's a good thing I stocked up on healthy stuff.

  • I'm exhausted too, with the same nasty cough that I came down with on Friday. Work is kicking my butt as I have been nonstop all day. So I feel ya :) But at least you get to make up for those 1000 calories!
