In need of healthy keep you satisfied snacks

Okay I do really good about eating healthy for my meals.  Where I kill my healthiness is snacks.  I try to keep fruit here at all times but I am looking for something different.  I'm pretty open to most things except yogurt...I just can't eat it unless it is mixed into something.  So any ideas?  This weight is coming off slowly but surely and I just don't want to screw it up too bad with my snacks.

  • Popcorn (the 100 cal bags are great)
    Peanut butter--this keeps me pretty full after eating it--I like the Reduced Fat PB from Walmart
    Pickles--they have almost no calories and leave a taste that makes me not want to eat anything else for a while
    Archer Farms (Target) Organic Fruit strips--only 45 calories and DH and I really like them--they aren't really filling, just if you need a sweet little something
    Sugar free Jello or Jello Pudding--the new Mousse kind is really good too
    I also like to munch on wheat thins, Cheerios, etc. instead of chips

  • ditto Lindsey, and then there's fruit, smoothies, cheese and crackers, do regular yogurt that has something in it, sherbet (fat free!!!), veggies
  • I generally need snacks with protein to keep me fuller longer.  You might want to try some turkey and cheese rolled together.  A handful of almonds, boiled eggs, apple with peanut butter.

  • every one has hit some really good ideas...

    I usually go for almonds, cheese, popcorn, or a protein bar (depending on my calories thus far)

  • I found these cool things at Costco called Veggie Crunchers.  They are basically vaccum dried veggies (squash, swt pot, carrots, taro, green beans) and then salted.  It's like eating potato chips, but much better for you.  They taste alot better than they sound!
