WDYT about JCPenny's baby furniture??

I have read some of the reviews and its kind of half and half. A lot of people say that it isn't very good quality and it looks different in the pics but then a lot say that it is great especially for the price. Anyone have good or bad thoughts? I've looked at a few sets at Babies R Us that I like but they are a little more expensive but it might be worth it.

I bought a changing table from them and I love it!  It's sturdy and it matches the stain on my crib perfectly!

I think it all depends on the brand. JCP sells several different brands at all different price points. Some are solid wood construction and some are not - which is probably the reason for the mixed reviews. I have the complete "Tori" collection for my 2 yo DD and I can tell you the quality is excellent. It is a solid wood pre-assembled set. I ordered the Tribeca set for DS and am hoping it is as high of quality. Again, though, it was solid wood and already assembled. Good luck!

I have the Tori Collection (Crib, Changing Table & Hutch, & Dresser) and I LOVE IT!

The quality is wonderful and the price is excellent too!  Our set shipped in a week.

We're getting our furniture from there, the Bedford Baby brand.  Bedford Baby is made by Westwood and, if I recall correctly, Westwood gets an A in Baby Bargains and is in the "best" category for cribs.

We ordered a dresser from them and set it up this weekend.  It is through their Hartford collection.  It took a long time for us to assemble but once it was done I was very happy with the outcome.  The color is great and it is very sturdy.  We are going to buy the taller matching dresser now to go along with it.

I got the Bedford Baby Monterey crib and it looked just like the picture.  It was also even more beautiful in person than in the picture.  It is very sturdy and durable.  It was also easy to put together.  My DH even commented that it was very well made and sturdy.  I also ordered it on a Sunday night, had it shipped to the store for free and it was there by Wednesday.

With my daughter 8 years ago I got all her baby furniture at JC penny (Crib, Changing table, even the stroller and highchair). They use to offer free shipping on items purchased off a registry so I put those and a few random others on one and saved the cost since those items tend to weigh quite a bit and are expensive to ship. I didn't have any complaints with the quality.
