Painting at 23 weeks?

Re: Painting at 23 weeks?

  • my doctor said this was safe as long as you have good ventilation/open all windows and use No VOC  paint. it's a little more expensive, but it's worth it because it doesn't have that strong paint smell.

  • Very safe. We used a no VOC paint, and I also wore a mask as I painted. The mask made it hard to breath at times, so i took lots of breaks. But everything was fine!

  • Yes.  Use a low VOC or low fume paint, keep the windows open and/or add a fan for ventilation and take breaks.
  • I just painted 5 pieces of furniture and plan on painting my bedroom this week.  I did not use the no/low VOC paint, I did open windows, run a fan and wear one of those terrible masks that make it impossible to breathe.  I made sure to take lots of breaks and stay hydrated.
