I have always been such a pusher of team green but I have recently changed my mind this time. I feel like I want to know if I will bond more with the baby if I know. It took me a couple of months to really bond with DD. I think I am going to do it. 2 weeks.....

Do what makes you happy.  I know I'd lose my mind if I didn't find out.

I was forced into finding out lol I was all for team green, but my DH wanted to find out, so when the doctor asked, he responded with a quick yes! Doctor looked at me and said, "Do you want to know?" I hesitated before replying yes, but now I'm glad I did. It makes it a lot easier to plan, in terms of nursery and stuff. Plus, I can start buying cute boy clothes too. Good luck to you on your next appointment!

I was really adamant about not finding out, and my husband was, too. But we have our big ultrasound in a couple of weeks and my husband keeps saying things like "What if we found out, that might be kind of cool." If he cracks, I'll definitely crack.

I have to tell you something.... as a second time mom I found it really hard to bond with this baby.  Maybe b/c we're so busy with the baby that we have??  I don't know.

I wanted to be Team Green with this baby, but DH was not having it.  He just had to know, so I gave in to him.  Well ever since I found out what we were having, I have really bonded so much with her.  We got to pick out a name and buy her some things of her own.  It's much more real now.  I love that I know

I found out this time and I am glad I did. DD was a surprise and like you I had a hard time bonding. Now I know it's our little Soleil in there. It feels much more real now and I am so excited to meet her.

I can definitely understand you doing this.  I don't think I'd be able to wait until birth. The women that do that impress me with their patience.

Please post with your final decision after u/s. I'm curious to know if you regret it or not.  I'm pretty sure we're staying team green, my scan isn't until March 1.

A good friend of mine was team green for her first and found out with her second.  She said she really felt like she bonded with the second baby in utero more because she knew it was a boy. 

I have found out I'm having a boy and I am really glad I did because before I really couldn't imagine having anything other than a girl (as silly as that sounds) and I needed to get my head around having a boy if that were the case (which it is).  Now I cannot wait to meet my little man.

But on the other hand it would be great to have that lovely surprise at the end of labour.  My sister has done that for all three babies and never regretted it.  So I'd be interested to know what you end up deciding.

I would never be able to hold out until birth, I think I would go crazy and take a million of those gender tests! lol.

Good luck with whatever you decided to do, I'm sure you wont regret it either way.

I just posted about this last week. This is our 2nd and we didn't find out the first time and I did love it and said I wouldn't find out again, but  all of a sudden I'm so eager to know. I think it's because before I didn't have a boy or girl and it really didn't matter, but now I just want to be able to plan, know, and prep DS and make him understand what a brother or sister is.
