I had a Peg Perego P3 Stroller that I loved and it was working just fine for us until US Airways completely severed one handle on our trip over New Year's (it is not repairable). I had not planned on getting a new stroller. I was just going to use that until we no longer needed one. We travel a lot and that stroller has been everywhere including Italy, the Caribbean and more...it was worth every cent and travels well.
This year we have trips planned to New York City, Disney and the Bahamas again. I know that my 42 lb, 3 1/2 year old will poop out at some point and I will need to bring along a stroller for these trips. Any recommendations for a good stroller that will hold a bigger kid? I am not really sure I want to invest in another Peg Perego at this point because we won't be using it that long. It seems like most of the strollers that hold more than 40lbs are jogging strollers. I just don't think a jogging stroller will travel well on airplanes. Thoughts?
I need a stroller that is good on cobblestone streets (in case we go back to europe), reclineable, holds a larger child, has a little storage space, a canopy would be nice......Having something that reclines and is comfortable is important because I am fortunate that my DS will sleep in a stroller if he is tired enough. I am looking for all recommendations and suggestions!
TIA!
Re: Stroller for 3 1/2 year old - Rec's needed
Christmas 2011
If you've loved your Peg (we do, too!) I'd seriously consider looking on craigslist for a gently used Ped P3. I'm thinking (if you're at all like me) you've gotten used to being able to hang things from the handles (you won't be able to do that with most other umbrella strollers), and the small fold for such a "big" stroller is hard to replicate.
I tried buying an Aria for travel and hated it b/c it just didn't move like the P3 did. If you weren't travelling, I'd say grab something like a BOB revolution - they're heaven!
