I had to take tylenol three times ( with some caffeine) this week and I don't want to. I laid down with a compress on my head and heating pad on my neck this morning and its still there. Any other remedies?
I cant even take tylenol because I am allergic to it so I have just been drinking a TONNNNNNNNNNNN of water. It seems to let up when I am really hydrated. Feel Better.
Peppermint. Weird, I know. I figured it out in HS. Suck it, smell it... there is something in it that supposedly relieves tension. I live on it at work.
When I had headaches in the beginning I would take a warm bath with candles and light music with some lavendar bubble bath. this relieved the tension that caused the headache and I also laid down a ton and drank a lot of water. The thing that helped the most was the bath. GL
Thanks! I seem to be waking up with it more than anything and half is tension and half is how I slept; I drink a lot of water but maybe not enough. I'll have to try the peppermint too. Bath sounds wonderful!
I actually use icepacks on my head when I have migraines; it may work for headaches. A head massage or a shower (on the massage setting, if you have that type of shower head) helps, too. Oddly enough, I also find that the scent of rosemary can make me feel a bit better.
