6+" of snow and DH is opening the restaurant.

Roads are covered, I can't get out of the driveway, poor little Chance got covered up when she stepped out in it (yorkie) and the banks are closed.  He can't even go to the bank to get change.  How will people pay if the restaurant has no change?

When Blaire gets up, I'm gonna bundle her up and let her play for a minute or two.  Only b/c this kind of snow probably won't come around again for a long time.

  • Does he have to open?  I wouldn't think it would be worth it on a day like today (not enough business).
  • you're right sarahjared, probably not enough business, but there are two charity events going on downtown and are catering one of them.  If people are downtown, they may want to eat there.   But, my thing is, if they are downtown, it's b/c of the chairty events, hence they will eat at the event.

If they are downtown b/c of some other reason, Why???? Get the hell home.

  • When I used to wait tables, it seemed like everyone came out in the snow!  More drinkers than eaters (scary!) but the place was always busy.  Plus, some people would lose power and need a place to eat.
  • 6" of snow doesn't slow people down very long here-I can't imagine businesses closing! Things are so different in the south!

Ditto this.I do know from living in Indiana (not that much farther south, but still...) that places that don't get a lot of snow simply aren't equippe to deal with it, though. 6 inches of snow would be cleared right away here, but down south, not so much.
