very bad day...in small car accident..

tech. yesterday was the worse day ever! it started off with going to my doc apoint in which my doc 5 mins before my appoint was called due to another client needing emerg. surgery (i dont mind her missing my appoint. by the way because of that).but it pissed me off that the nurse who was working with my doc that day had no information for the whole purpose of the visit. For instance, I was put on bed rest for a week and needed to know if i was off or not and what the test results were for my appoint. she said she would call back and never did. So 15 mins before I know when they close i called back just for her to give me that info. Good news, im off bed rest for now and all of the tests came back looking great.

After getting off the phone with them I proceeded to call Metlife to set a claim for FLMA for work since I basically have a doc appoint every week until i deliver. once 5 pm roled around i went to pick up my fiance.

i was at a corner where there is a stop sign for me. The corner i was on is soo natorious for being basically a bit@h to get anywhere especailly with 5 o'clock trafic. When I looked left to make sure traffic was cleared there was this 5' tall 8' wide for sale/lease sign obstructing the view to see if there is ongoing trafic. so i had to go about 3 to 4 feet past the white line just to make sure i have enough time and room to merge into oncoming trafic. I stoped of corse when i had enough room because there was a lot of trafic. I had an opening and the looked through my passenger window (i was in the car alone) and proceeded to drive. Next thing I know this car is on my passenger door and my car scrapes along the front driver side bumper on the left side of there car.  and i bsasically yelled WTF? because that street i was on had no turning lane. Its basically a 2 way street with one lane each way. The guy even admitted that he was coasting when I turned right to merge with trafic! so he illegally drove up next to my car before i even turned. I hate people who are impatient and cant wait a freaking min. Ive been up for an hour because i cant sleep. I was thankful though that nothing really bad happened. Im a high risk pregnancy so just a slight jerk couldve cause me serious issues.  But the biggest issue i have is that the cop had no clue what he was talking about. he said it was both of our faults he thinks so hes going to site us both. then when he was like, well you dont have to establish a police report unless there is more then $1500 in damage in which doesnt look like the case. It was dumb because he had no clue how much anything cost to get a car fixed and asked the dude who hit me how much it would cost.. hello?!?! thats not what youre saposed to do!!! so now i know im gonna have to fight the ticket and if my insurance will not cover or go up. Im going to sue the guy who basically caused the wreck. IDK, Do you think im wrong?

I'd just be thankful that you are ok. And yeah, it sounds like the guy was totally in the wrong and the cop was stupid. You have an option to protest the ticket and I would recommend doing that... but it is a pain the butt generally. Hopefully the judge will listen to reason and your insurance company won't have to sue the guy because that is really a long, drawn out process. Good luck!
