Ovarian cyst

I had my first prenatal appt last week, they said everything was fine except that I have a cyst on my left ovary. They said they would just watch it so I haven't thought much of it but I've been reading a little bit about ovarian cysts online and it has me worried. Has anyone else had this during pregnancy? Do ovarian cysts go away on their own or do they require surgery?

Some go away on their own but some require surgery...depends on how bad it is.  I wouldnt worry if they aren't right now.  You dont need the extra stress at all right now.  Just let them watch it and they'll take care of you! Dont worry! Good Luck!

I had one with my last that literally went away and have one this time that has not grown any yet.  They will just keep an eye out for it!

I also had an ovarian cyst with my second pregnancy... They go away on their own. My friend's an RN, and says they're actually quite common, nothing to worry about. You're good, I'm sure the Doc has it covered. LOVE.

funny, I had my first u/s yesterday and I have the exact same thing!  apparently it's only 1/2 a centimeter and they said they were going to watch it....but the doctor did say "they usually aren't cancerous"...yikes, "usually"....!
