I know it use to be that you only had a baby shower for your first born, is this still the case even if your second is a different gender?? My family wants to through a shower for me but this is my second child... I'm not sure about it because I don't want to seem "greedy" but I don't know the proper etiquette...thoughts??
Re: Baby Shower...?
From what I know (this is my first), those having #2 or #3 are having "Baby Sprinkles"...it's like a baby shower but a bit more intimate and for after LO arrives

That's a good idea. You could say something like The only present require is your presence. I bet people would bring presents anyway!

Some friends are throwing me a baby sprinkle. Its going to be a very casual dinner at someone's house with husbands and kids invited too. I love this since my son can be involved too. They will either do burgers and hot dogs on the grill or chic-fil-a chicken and sides and such. I'm excited!
I had never heard of these till about 2 years ago. I think they are kind of new. My sister who is 7 years older than me thinks they are crazy!
I am having another boy, but we are creating a small registry. While I don't need the big baby items or clothes, I do need new bottles, teethers, pacis, and stuff like that which was slobbered all over/not safe to reuse. Also putting some bath and health stuff on there along with a new diaper bag, double stroller, and diapers of course!
