But... I'm one of the lucky ones who can't work out while BF'ing.
It kills my supply so I get a "fat pass" until I wean.
Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
With DS#1, I was cleared at my 2 week pp appt......but I wasn't allowed to do abdominal work until my 8 week pp appt. I started working out around 4-5 weeks pp. I just did the treadmill and some light weights.
With DS#2, my incision has been a bit more "tender." I started doing a Zumba class a couple weeks ago (around 8 weeks pp....). At my 8 week pp appt, I was cleared to work out with no restrictions......
Be careful and start slow -especially with abdominal work.
I was so excited to get to the gym after my c-section. I waited more than 8 weeks to work out and I felt great for about 2-3 months. Then pain started getting bad. It turned out I got a hernia from the c-section. It's not common but it does happen to some women. I don't know if working out made it worse but I thew up twice after working out (which is why I finally called the doctor). I had to have more surgery to repair it.
3 IUI's and 2 IVF's later- Brady arrived. Born at 36 weeks after PUPPS and pre-e/HELLP.
IUI- BFN IVF #1 -BFP! Allie is our 2nd IVF baby. Born at 36 1/2 weeks after pre-e again
My OB is clearing me for exercise again at 6 wks, but told me to ease into ab work again. So basically start slow. I CANT WAIT to get back to the gym...this wait is killing me!

Re: C-Section Moms: Workout ??
6 weeks. Do you have an exercise ball? Sitting on that and doing things will help get your Ab strength back.
30 day shred
running/walking
I was cleared at 6 weeks.

6 weeks.
I worked out my entire pregnancy, so I just went back to my usual routine. Eliptical, step aerobics, weight training, etc.
I fell in love with the 30 day shred as a mom because I can do it at home during Paige's naps!
