We're eyeballs deep in a basement remodel that is basically taking the basement from being just concrete to turning it into two bedrooms, a full bathroom, a laundry room, a storage room, and some extra space that we plan to use as an extended pantry since we don't have one upstairs.
This is going to be GREAT for us, but OMG! I've never lived through a remodeling project before and I had no idea how loud, dusty, and exhausting it can be. They seem to make the most noise every day during the girls' nap, somehow. And, we spent a full week without washer/dryer and now they are working on electrical so we lose electricity periodically. In fact, they just killed the outlet that the modem and my laptop are plugged into for the next 2-4 hours.
This too shall pass, but... ack!
Re: Ah, the joys of remodeling...
I feel your pain. I had no idea either when we gutted the kitchen starting when DS was about 3 months old
I hope they finish quicker than expected
