Another amnio question

Did you find out the sex of your baby at the amnio or did you need to wait for the results?

Thanks ! I have mine monday, a little nervous but looking forward to resting afterward (and I have been advised to have a little wine which I am "REALLY" looking forward to)

The specialist (not the tech) asked me if I wanted to know the gender, which I was very surprised to hear.  So I got to find out the gender.  We'll see when the results come back if it was an accurate finding by the u/s.   They do an u/s prior to the procedure to check for measurements and make sure there is a good pocket of fluid.  (they also use the u/s for guidance during the procedure if you didn't know that, but he gave me the results prior to the amnio)

We were told "best guess" was girl, but had to wait for the results for confirmation - dd was sitting with her legs crossed.

found out at the amnio--it was very obvious :-)  the tech really didnt need to say it LOL
