1st Trimester

10 weeks no Nausea ?

Im a little confused i hear alot that the more nausea you have the healthier your baby is . Im 10 weeks pregnant with no nausea at all. Im just tired all the time . Is this  good or bad?

Re: 10 weeks no Nausea ?

  • nausea is not an indicator as to how healthy your baby is.  each woman is different and some don't have any nausea at all.

  • I'm pregnant with #2 and with neither pregnancy have I had the "typical" symptoms.  No nausea, no MS, no cravings, etc.  My first son was super healthy.  Consider yourself lucky - it's definitely a good thing!
  • Wow i feel so releived i was worried for the past week about this ... thanks i feel alot better !
  • I only had a touch of nausea this entire first trimester (I'm headed to second next week). No vomiting at all...not even close. And, I'm happy to say, all is looking great so far (just had an ultrasound this week). So, don't worry. It is a good thing. Some of the stories I hear from other women are awful - we are part of a lucky bunch.
  • Congratulations you lucky duck.  Baby is just fine.  Pregnancy symptoms, or a lack thereof have nothing do to with the health of the baby.  That's jst an OWT.
  • Don't be worried! I'm 10 weeks too and havent had nausea yet. Just enjoy it and feel lucky! Some girls really have a tough time and I feel terrible for them. But no worries, it won't change how healthy our babies will be!

  • LMP puts me at 9 weeks, although I think I'm closer to 7... I do have some nausea in the mornings before I eat, and occasionally during the day and at night if I go too long without eating. I've heard a number of things -- everything from morning sickness is a sign that your pregnancy hormones are high (in a good way), to it not being an indicator of anything. The latest thing I read said that if you don't have morning sickness or nausea it doesn't indicate anything about the healthiness of the baby, but statistically women with morning sickness have a lower chance of miscarriage. This makes me think that morning sickness is in fact related to high pregnancy hormones, but I would think at 10 weeks you're almost out of the risk area, and if your OB thinks everything is developing fine, I wouldn't be concerned. Right now I'm counting myself as lucky, although I have also wondered if my lack of morning sickness is indicative of anything. Sounds like if everything else is going well, it probably isn't anything to worry about it.
  • You're not less "healthy" than us who've had nausea this entire time. nausea is just an indicator in SOME women that their hormone levels are really high, which is good for baby. Your hormone levels are high too - you just don't have that side affect
  • Thanks soo much ladies im really feeling much better ! I guess im just lucky . thanks for replying !Big Smile
  • i too don't have it at all.

I too worries like you are.

I think we are fine :)

Sounds like it's normal to not always have it.

  • I have heard this too, but it's not true. Morning Sickness is no indication as to the health of your baby. I'm 9 weeks today, and have felt fine! I'd say be glad you dont' feel sick! What's even better is that we can eat, and ensure that our babies are getting proper nutrients!

  • Its not an indicator of a good vs bad pregnancy. Usually if you have m/s they say its a good sign that things are progressing. If you don't have it thank your lucky stars, I'm on week 13 of it and each week it's getting worse and worse, nothing (drugs, bands, nothing) is helping...
