I'm 17 weeks along, I work 3 days a week and spend the rest of the time on modified bedrest-usually lying down on one side or the other.
I've worked the past 2 days-so not lyind down all day. At night my lower back about tailbone height is really stiff/sore, along with my upper thighs (that i assume is just from the pressure of lying on that side.
any remedies aside from a heating pad on my lower back?
we already have a good matress topper.
thanks.
Re: sore back and thighs-remedies
How many pillows are you using in the bed? It takes a LOT of pillows to keep a pregnant body in alignment.
I normally slept with two under my head, one to my back, one or two between my legs, and I used one to hug/prop my belly on. Towards the end, there was very little room for my husband in the bed ;-)
My dh bought me one of those full body pregnancy pillows. It's been great for my hips and thighs. They're a bit expensive at BRU but worth it IMO.
Hope you find something to help soon.
