my divorce will be final in a couple of weeks.  last night i was putting away my earrings and came across my wedding ring and its obviously something i'm never going to wear again, so my question:

 what did you do with your ring?

I am keeping mine. It is not worth a lot of money, but it is something I can give to DD.

I got divorced in 2004 and I still have mine.

I still have mine.  I plan to give my wedding band to one of my DDs for a birthday present (maybe @16) but its just a white gold band with a kt of bagets (spelling?). The main stone in my engagement band was actually my moms that she gave to my stbx to have made into a ring for me.  I am keeping that and if I ever get married again may have it made into my engagement band again (it is a two kt. near perfect heart shaped diamond) or have my moms center diamond from her marriage to my dad ( over 2kts but round cut) made into my engaement ring.  I just see no point in spending an extravagant amount of money to get a gorgeous ring when I have very nice family diamonds that I could use.  My stbx spent $1500 on the setting and my wedding band but the set was worth almost $20,000 when the center diamond was added.

For those of you that sold your ring, did you just go to a jewler and sell it? I want to sell my engagement ring but don't know how to go about it.

My ex took it back, it wasn't all paid off yet so I let him keep it, but the necklace he gave me I went and traded it in for something more meaningful, you could do that, trade your ring in for something more meaningful like a ring with your childs birthstone or a necklace to give child.
