My DH commented the other day that we can't keep garlic and onions in our house because we go through them so fast... which was a no duh moment for me, but apparently surprised him!
So, what are the staples in your house that you always need to have on hand but go through really fast?
Ours are:
Garlic
Onions
Olive oil
Apples
Berries of any/all kind
Pasta
Vanilla
OH, and CHEESE! God help me, we run out of cheese like you would not believe.
Re: What are your food staples?
Onions
Bell Peppers
Mushrooms
Milk
Cereal
Bread
Soy Sauce
Rice (Brown and white and sushi)
Frozen pizza (hahahahaha)
Vanilla? Really Jody? What do you use that for? Other than baking. And if it's baking how in the world do you have time to bake?
tortilla chips
cheese
bananas
green olives
apples
Pirate Booty
string cheese
garlic

Sheesh! I need to learn how to cook!
This!
Lately we've been getting prepared dinners that my secretary cooks (she went to culinary school and has a catering/personal chef service on the side) and we have that for dinner since there's no time to cook (we get home at 7 pm and bathtime is 7:30).
As far as actual food we keep in the house, this will be embarrassing:
1) Milk
2) These awesome mexican tortilla chips they sell in the "ethnic" section
3) Spicy chipotle gouda
4) Popsicles
5) Some kind of fruit (varies but usually we have at least one or two of berries, oranges, apples, pears)
6) Pasta and jarred sauce
7) Cereal
Apples
Bananas
Grapes
OJ
Buckwheat flour
Real maple syrup
Vanilla
Meats
