NBR: who gets dibs on the guest room

DH and I just got into a huge fight (yet again) and I'd like your opinions on the matter...

DH thinks that his parents should automatically get dibs on our guest room since my sister and her family live 45 minutes away, and my parents could always stay there.  I belive that since his brother lives an hour and a half away, they could just as easily stay there (give or take) and that it's only fair for our parents to take turns in the guest room. 

Thoughts...?

    I think it who ever travels the farthest. but since DH mom will not go farther in 45 mins, its a not a big deal for us!

    First to ask should get it.  If no one asks, let them figure out where they're staying.
    BFP#1: 9.16.08 DD: 5.28.09
    BFP#2: 7.10.11 MMC: 8.3.11 D&C: 8.29.11
    BFP#3: 12.5.11 MC: 12.22.11
    BFP#4: 2.14.12 MMC: 3.8.12 D&C: 3.13.12 Loss due to Trisomy 16
    BFP#5: 6.11.12 MC: 6.28.12 Loss due to Triploidy
    RPL BW, Sonohystogram, Chromosome testing on DH and myself = everything is normal
    BFP#6: 12.4.12 EDD: 8.16.13
    Things I did different with this pregnancy:
    1. Waited TTC until after I had 3 normal menstrual cycles.
    2. Got a new OB - amazing man who listened!
    3. 200 mg progesterone until 12 weeks
    4. Daily lovenox injections

    an hour and a half is quite a bit further away.  i actually sort of agree with your husband on this one.  how frequently are they all in town together?  could you try to stagger their visits?

    Is this a one night stay or more? I would say that if it is more than one night, let each parent stay with the siblings one night, and at your place the other. If you both have siblings in the general area, I am sure each set of parents would enjoy getting to visit them.

    I'd say whoevers traveling the furthest should get the guest room.
