Will venting make me feel better?

Let's find out.  I'm exhausted, I've barely seen DH since Friday night, work is incredibly stressful, DD seems to have come down with croup again and threw up her entire bedtime bottle all over me, and my plans to relax with a glass of wine and a cheezy DVR'ed Lifetime movie went out the window when DD decided she was wide awake (after puking).  Now she's in bed coughing and I should go to bed so I can get up and do it all over again tomorrow, but I don't think I can sleep until she falls asleep.

Nope.  Don't feel better.  Thanks for letting me try though, ladies!

  • I'm in a similar boat.  DH is OOT for the week, Gianna has what after 2 doctor visits and an after hours call in 3 days is "just a virus" but is throwing up, has a high fever, is miserable and is SO congested and not eating well and won't let me use the asparator, won't get to sleep well, and work blows.  My only saving grace is that she's STTN still.  But I probably just jinxed that by saying it.  I'm having a glass of wine and relaxing.  I've earned it.  And so have you!  Have a drink and watch some tv.

Thank you.  It does help to know I'm not alone!  I should have mentioned in my OP that I am having a glass of wine right now.  I only scrapped the "movie" part of the plan because I can't stay up to watch the whole thing.

I hope your DD feels better soon and life improves!

You too!!  I hope your LO gets better soon.  Gianna was fever free all day until bedtime, and it was slightly up--99.something.  I gave her tylenol to get her through the night.  I'm hoping she's on the mend, but the congestion is holding strong.  I just hope it doesn't turn into something worse like bronchitis or pneumonia or something. And like a complete idiot, I forgot all about the vicks trick until I read a post down below.  Tomorrow she is getting the vicks treatment!
