Q. re trigger shot

How soon after the shot are you suppose to O?  I took my trigger last night and don't go in for IUI until Tuesday at 10:30am.  I guess I figured the trigger would make O happen within 24 hours or so.  Is the idea at an IUI to have O'd or to almost be ready to O?  Or does either work?

    I put Google to work.  Looks like it happens 24-48 hours after shot.

    I know with IVF I triggered on Sunday night and had my retrieval on Tuesday morning. GL!

    I was worried as well but, the two months that I went in 24 hrs after trigger nothing happened.

    The one month that I went in 36 hrs later was the month I got pregnant.  We followed up with sex that night and that was it.

    If I had to do it again, I'd insist on that 36 hr time frame.   GL tomorrow!  I have good feeling about this for you!  Please upadate when you can-I'll be excited to hear how it goes!

    I think it depends on the dosage but my RE said 36-48 hours after trigger.  We do the IUI 40 hours after trigger.  Good luck!

    Thanks, I will let you guys know.  I'm kinda nervous but kinda feeling like this will do the trick, I hope so!

    My RE always does it about 36 hours after the trigger.  I've heard that is the optimal time to do it.

    With clomid & trigger, I can tell exactly when I O. I get very crampy and uncomfortable and then bam I feel better.  Based on this unscientific reasoning, I O'd the first time about 40 hours after the trigger. The second time was less than 24, but I think I had started to surge on my own before the trigger.

    For a single IUI, it is usually done 36 hours after trigger. For B2B, it is usually 12 and 36.
