Bleeding

I just went to the bathroom and noticed brown spotting in my panites.  When I wiped there was red blood on the tp.  I have not had any type of spotting at all during this pregnancy.

I am freaking out.  I cannot lose the babies.  I don't know how I will deal with that.

I am going to wait an hour and see if it lets up.  If it doesn't, I'm going to call my Peri and see what she wants me to do.

Please let the babies be ok.

Re: Bleeding

  • Ok...calm down.  Spotting and even bleeding can be common in pregnancy, particularly multiple pregnancies.  Lay down and drink some water.  If it doesn't let up, call your doc.  But make sure that you calm down too!  :)

  • Sending all my vibes your way, LCB. I know it's hard to find any solace right now, but try to think about the fact that spotting happens to a lot of women in early pregnancy. I had spotting in my seventh week and it freaked me out, but it went away and everything is still fine now.

Do call the peri if it hasn't let up in an hour.

. This. Deep breaths!! Spotting is scary, but a small amount is normal, especially with multiples. Go grab a couple glasses of water and lay down for a bit. Hopefully it was just a small little incident!! Hugs!!
  • i would call your dr asap, just to let him/her know what is going on. and lay down drink lots of water and put your feet up. i had tons of spotting and bleeding in my first tri and everything turned out fine both my re and my ob told me bleeding and spotting are increasingly common in multiple pregnancies.

  • Thinking of you! Lay on your left side feet up! Let us know what happens.
  • eek! I know it's scary - sounds like a good idea to call your doc. Here's my bleeding story:

at 7.5 weeks with this pregnancy I had a big gush of blood when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night. After not sleeping all night I called my RE in the morning, who had me come in for an u/s. He found a polyp on the outside of my cervix that was irritated and causing the bleeding. He did something to freeze it, and I didn't have any more bleeding at all. And the babies were all fine.

So hopefully yours is just a little bit of nothing! hang in there!!

  • So many of us on this board know first hand how scary bleeding is during pregnancy.  I agree with the advice given: lie down, put your feet up, drinks lots of water, and try to relax.  Call your peri so you can get checked out and to ease your mind.  I'm praying for you and your babies.

  • Don't stress yet!  Like the PP said, just relax and lay down.  If the bleeding becomes heavy and very bright red then call the doc.  Otherwise just kick back for now, because this is normal.
