by a college intern. He's a young, arrogant know it all. He has been wanting to do his work his way when for months I have been telling him it needs to be done a different way. So today I held a training session with our department (including supervisor) to spell out how things should be getting done. At the end he said, "So is this from this point on or do I have to go back and enter all of this info this way?" Everyone said, no it has to be put in this way so you have to spend time doing so. He got pissed and I tried to tell him that's why I've been telling him to fix it for 2 months and he interrupted me with "Don't fvcking tell me that you've been saying to do this for 2 months. I didn't know." Yes he did. The owner sat him and me down three weeks ago to reiterate that he needed to be doing it the way I'm teaching him. The people that matter know that I've been telling everyone how to do this work properly for a long time now but this kid didn't even really get in trouble.

Re: I got sworn at in my training session...
Wow- he sounds like a responsible lovely intern.
Did he get in trouble for cussing you out? I would hope his grade would be affected or he'd be dropped for being so unprofessional.
He's going to make it far with his wonderful attitude. blah

He's an idiot. I've tried to sit him down before and talk to him about the business world and how he's not going to make it far if he acts like he does. He's tried throwing me and another girl under a bus to the owner. Luckily he failed miserably but acted like an asshat in the process.
He got a talking to right now....but then I was called in after and was told that he said it was my comment that set him off, blah blah blah but "we know that you did nothing wrong." Um then why am I being pulled aside. Fire him. Send him home. He's only going to be here through March anyway. He got his grade last semester for the internship and they just kept him on for a little longer.
I can't stand coming to work most days.
