Just posted this on 3 - 6 month board but didn't get much of a response...DD is not eating at daycare. I talked to DP a few weeks ago and she wasn't eating much and it turned out she wasn't warming up the bottles for her. So I tell her that two weeks ago and she says yes she will warm them up. So then today I call to check on LO and she is screaming in the background and DP says she hasn't eaten the ENTIRE DAY, that she is showing no interest. When she is at home she eats just fine, if not more than usual lately! Yesterday she wanted to eat nonstop, and today she hasn't eaten since 5 a.m. I want to find a new DP. WWYD???

Re: DD won't eat at daycare
Well, my DD doesn't eat much at daycare but that is because she feels strongly anti-bottle. Sounds like that is not your issue. However, it does sound like you're worried about her daycare situation, and if you're uncomfortable with it for whatever reason it never hurts to drop in unexpectedly to see what's going on.
i'm guessing this is an in-home provider? I'd find a new one... I don't trust them- and this one you have sounds like she's not doing a good job.
If your child didn't eat all day - she should have called you- period. Not let your baby sit there screaming all day.
my son Grayson occasionally will turn down bottles at daycare - he's getting better now- but early on had a few days he didn't eat much. The one day he really avoided all bottles (but ate solids) they called me to let me know just as an FYI. I'd be furious if I didn't find out until late in the day that he didn't eat.
I agree with PP's that your daycare should definitely call you when eating all day is a problem. Has your LO been bottle fed by other people before or is this the first time? Have you tried giving your DP a blanket or robe that has your scent on it? When my LO was having trouble with feeding earlier this week, I gave my DP a robe that I had worn. DD was comforted by the scent and was better able to eat from the DP. Maybe you can try this. In addition, I would definitely talk with your DP about communication requirements especially if eating or sleeping becomes an issue. Good luck!
