How about and "AW your kids" post?

Here is mine:

My boys were late talkers but now won't stop talking.  It is hilarious and they pick up on everything. So far we have turned "F--ck-it" in to "Fill the Bucket" but we need to be more careful!

And they are now able to climb over and/or open every baby gate in our house.

  • My DS was a late talker too.  He also went from barely talkiing to speaking reallyl well in no time.  Loved it!  Now he won't stop talking.  LOL!  DS is just so funny now at 4 y/o.  He cracks me up all the time and then tells me not to laugh at him.  Oops!  This morning he told me I looked beautiful when I was getting him in the car to take him to school.

DD is very lovey lately.  She likes to tell me "I love you too," without me saying I love you first.  LOL!

    How totally sweet!!!!
  • I must be the authority on everything because the last 2 words out of DD's mouth are always "Right, Mommy?" DH is hating this phase LMAO.

We read a book called Fish Kisses last week.  One of the animal kisses is pig snortles.  Now instead of kisses, DD wants to give snortles.  After 2 of them, we are both laughing really hard.

DD now puts her dishes and cups in the sink after meals without prompting. I love it!  Now if I can just get DH to do that too....

DD needs to match every.single.thing.  Her latest obsession is matching her cloth diapers (she wears them at bedtime only) to her nightgowns and jammies.

  • Awww, these are sooo cute!  What adorable little personalities!

My DS is still very young so he doesn't "do" much, but he laughed for the first time on Monday - when I sneezed.  I loved it.

And today I went to daycare to visit him and they were doing circle time with music.  A man was there playing a guitar and he was sitting in his bouncy seat moving his legs and arms like I've never seen him do before!

  • I'm always saying how much I like learning more about DS, he is such an interesting person and I look forward to learning more about him every day.

We're in the middle of another word explosion, and now that he's getting better at communicating it's so fun to hear what he comes up with.  The other night we sat in his playhouse, and he informed me that he had to go get the mail and then we'd eat breakfast, which was macaroni & cheese and birthday cupcakes.

He's very proud of his ability to stand on one foot (with help), walk backwards, and do jumping jacks.

He is just the neatest kid.  I feel pretty lucky to know him.

Baby laughs are the best!! Especially their firsts!!

  • DD is learning empathy, and it's so amazing to watch.

She doesn't have any baby dolls yet, but she and DH have matching teddy bears for when he deploys.  She changes their diapers, sits them on each others laps, and now insists on taking them to bed at night.  She gives her Elmo a second binki, and last night he ate dinner with us.  Literally, his mouth was full of peas & green beans.

She also keeps the cats in line.  She very sternly tells them 'no' when they get on the kitchen table or get too close to her toys.

    She's a riot, really.

  • Just another one: My boys are so good and sharing and always watch out for each other. If one of them falls, the other one will come running up and say "Are you OK?".

And no matter what they get (cookies, toys, etc.) they say "One for me and one for ______!!"

  • I love this post.. I'm not sure where my she got this but after I got ready this morning I went into the kitchen and DD looks up from her cereal and says, "Sleep good Mommy?"
  • My kid is a little young to AW...but I will anyways.  He is such an awesomely mellow kid (right now anyways).  The daycare grandmas love him because they say he rarely cries for them.

Plus, he laughs when he farts in the bathtub.  Its friggin' funny.
