First Dr's appt tomorrow

So our BM's first Dr's appt is tomorrow with her primary care physican and she wants me and DH to be there.  She is 30 weeks today so I'm really hoping we get ultrasound pics, but we'll see.

She is bringing her mother with her because she wants to meet us, so I'm a little nervous.  We love the BM and she says she loves us, and it's HER decision, and she has told us she is not close with her mother at all, but I am still worried about "what if" the mother doesn't like us.

I know, I need to calm down and just be grateful our BM wants us at her appts with her, but I'm a worrier by nature!

Any advice from those of you that have gone to appts?  Should I just stand back and not ask questions since it's not "my" pregnancy, or should I be more involved?  I won't be able to ask the BM because I won't see her until we meet her at the Dr.

It is great that your BM would like you and your DH to go with her to the Dr. Our BM also asked my DH and I to go to two of her sonogram appointments with her and it was such a wonderful experience. At the doctors office we just sat back and listened to the doctor and to our BM. We did not ask any questions and tried to make sure the BM was comfortable at all times.  After each doctors appointment our agency would send us the medical records. I would then send them to friend of mine that is a pediatrician to review I would ask her any medical questions I had.
