I put reacher - I think I'm pretty cute but I'm aware that my husband is dang hot.  He disagreed when we tried to have this conversation after the show.  According to him, I'm delusional about his looks and either way I'm smarter so he's the reacher.  I don't think we're ever going to agree.

ok...that would explain why I don't understand the Reacher/Settler question.  

I love Saved by the Bell!  The episode that cracks me up is when Jessie is on caffeine pills and acting like she's on speed!  She was running around singing "I'm so excited..." then bursts into tears.  It was like a SBTB attempt at an after school special. So classic.

Do you watch the show How I Met Your Mother? It was the topic of the show on Monday night. In a relationship there is a reacher and a settler.

Reacher = you date someone that is hotter than you

Settler = you settle for whatever and you don't get jealous of other girls/boys because you think you are the hotter one in the relationship.

 

It may not be funny on paper but you have to watch the show to get why its funny.

OMG I am the settler!  DH and I talked about this several times.  He was wishing for DD to look more like me bc he says I'm the pretty one.  I do think he's attractive - obviously...I married him.  However, he says that he never thought he could get someone like me.  That sounded really snotty and I didn't mean for it to sound that way. I'm just quoting what he said.

Oh ok...I have seen episodes of HIMYM but I don't watch it regularly. It is funny though!

Love this show!!  After the episode DH and I were also discussing this.  I refused to admit it, but I secretly think I'm the settler.  DH is a great guy, but I think I'm prettier.  (I know that sounds horrible)
