Let me start with, if you think it's weird/annoying for me to even ask, you can just ignore this.
I was just curious what kind of doctor you might be. I am freaking out right now. I had to have a suburethral sling (transvaginal tape) put in after DS #1 and they told me since I was really skinny anyway getting PG again would be fine and wouldn't mess it up as long as I had a C/S.
So, I had a C/S 8 weeks ago. I didn't do any lifting, lunges, squats, etc. from 20 weeks on until 6 weeks pp.
Well, 2-3 days ago I started having major bladder urgency--all the symptoms of a UTI, but so bad I can't sleep (without an Ambien anyway). Anyway, my urine culture just came back negative and now I don't know what to do. I'm going to make an appt with a urologist but it takes a while to get in usually.
My GP said it might be a stricture, which I had never heard of. Do you know anything about those?
Sorry, I know this is totally weird but I'm just freaking out and the hormones aren't helping.
Re: AlisaS-can I ask a ?
Are you still in a lot of pain? Are you able to urinate?
So, I am a psychiatrist so not expert in this area. But as a doctor and a woman I would tell you to call your GP and ask him/her what to do. You can't live with UTI-like symptoms for weeks while you wait to get in to a specialist.
Think of a stricture like a blockage - like someone put a rubber band around your urethra, closing it and impeding flow.
Why don't you call your GP AND the urologist and see if you can be seen soon. Or if you can't pee, go to the ER.
LOL, psychiatrists aren't urological experts? I actually was able to get into my uro-gynecologist on Friday, thankfully. My GP didn't seem to be too helpful; he's new to the practice and I'd never seen him before. I saw him on Monday and that's when they took the culture that was negative.
Thanks!
