DH and I had our reconsultation with the RE yesterday. We pretty much knew that we were headed for IVF before we got there and the RE just confirmed it. It was nice to have somewhat of an idea what the RE was talking thanks to a lot of the discussions that take place on this board. It was also somewhat strange to have them actually said to me. I'm not sure exactly when we will start the cycle since I am waiting for my nurse to call and set up another SHG (oh goody! lol). The RE said he usually keeps pt's on BCPs for 10 to 20 days before the start of the cycle and today is day 8 so far. He thinks that I will end up being on the stims (he's staying with the Follistim) on the longer end of the usual stim time (thanks PCOS!) and I will probably end up going in for monitoring 4 or more times. I also asked him if he usually did 3dt or 5dt and he said that it all usually depends on how the embies look but he seemed to be hopeful that we would make it to 5 days. He didn't tell me what protocol he was going to use yet, but I'm thinking it might be something the nurse tells me when she calls...either that or they will tell me after the SHG. So I guess right now it's just hurry up and wait...I'm so not good at that! lol

Re: We're Headed For IVF
IVF is scary but take it one day at a time and it will all be fine.
I hope IVF#1 is a sticky BFP.

I totally relate to!
IVF can be overwhelming, but it's good that you're taking it one step at a time.
Best of luck to you!!!
