if your LO is almost 5 months...

how many ounces (of formula) does he or she take at a time? Also, if you have started rice cereal, how much do you give and how often?

I'm not sure if my LO is getting enough. Actually, I'm pretty sure she's not, just trying to figure out what others are doing.

E takes around 6 oz give or take a little each feeding.  She has been on rice cereal for a week and gets 1 1/2 tbs  2x a day.  HTH.

He usually has 6 5 oz bottles in a 24 hour period.  We haven't fed him any food yet.

LO gets 6oz of formula every 3 hours.

His pedi said that he could start rice cereal at his 4month appt. He gets about 2TSPS mixed with 2oz of formula every morning. He generally eats it all.

We just introduced applesauce about 2TSPS mixed with the rice cereal. 

 So far that has been good for him. If he wants a little more in his bottle we give it to him, generally his bottle after cereal is 4oz.

If she seems content after a feeding, is gaining weight regularly and is having 5-6 sopping wet diapers, then she is getting enough.

DS drinks 5 oz of BM at a time when at the ILs during the day.  I have moved on from rice cereal and DS gets 2 ice cubes of carrots in the evening.  Over the weekend I was trying oatmeal in the morning (just an oz or 2 if he is hungrier).

6 oz, 5 times a day with some rice in 3 of the bottles.  Doctor said it is good and she is gaining plenty of weight.

4-6oz in a bottle or I'll BF, did 2oz formula mixed with 3tbsp dry cereals for mid-morning and supper meals, but we started with just supper for the first 3 weeks... and we add 1-2 tsp fruit with morning and 1-2 tsp veggies with supper.

8 oz, 4x/day. I give a TBSP of oatmeal after the 1st and 3rd bottles. Sometimes he eats it all, sometimes he doesn't.

DD eats 5-6oz every 4 hours give or take. She's had a lot of constipation issues so the Pedi put her on solids at 4 months, in hopes to get things moving. We give her Oatmeal in the a.m. with prunes and maybe some in her last feeding bottle for the evening.

6 oz every 2-4 hours.  Some schedule, right?

We're probably going to wait until closer to 6 months to start solids.

DS is just 5 months and he takes about 40 oz per day, which is 5-6 bottles (every 3-4 hours) and averages around 6 oz per bottle.  He's been taking 2 servings of cereal per day (morning in evening). The meals he has cereal he takes around 4-5 oz of formula.

DS is also constipated and the cereal made it more so. So we've started him on fruits this week?beginning with prunes.

My pedi said that as we incorporate more fruits and then veggies into his diet, he'll probably drop to 24 oz of formula per day.

Our DD is taking about 5-6 oz of formula and we just started rice cereal a few days ago..she's not really digging it so far, she's maybe eating a TBSP if that. But, we do add a TBSP of rice to her night time bottle.
