Update: AF with brown blood after Provera (long)

I was dx'd with PCOS last year. This is my second cycle of Provera and Clomid with IUI. As far as we know, I do not O on my own. We have never gotten to the trigger stage cause I haven't had any mature follicles. Our last ultrasound on Dec 28 did not show any mature follicles (11 mm was the largest). Though we had sex the night before, the RE was not concerned that we were pregnant and I started Provera on Dec 28, immediately after the ultrasound. DH does have sperm issues (low count) and my lining was very good either. Ultimately, it was decided that there was no way that I was / could become pregnant so we move onto the next cycle.

I finished the Provera last Sunday and on Saturday I finally got what I thought was AF. Instead of a red flow it was just yucky brown spotting. I called my RE this morning and they told me to come in immediate to check my progesterone and beta. I haven't been perfect (I had three beers on Friday and some wine last week) and I did not have any symptoms.

 I will be getting the results later today so I can start Clomid but the RE didn't want me to start until I was cleared. I asked the nurse if provera would flush out my system and she said that you can still be pregnant after taking provera. She felt that the brown spotting could be a sign. I REALLY doubt that I am pregant...but we can dream right?
