she will not go to sleep without one then when it falls out it wakes her up and needs it back in. This happens to me all of the time at night and it is driving me insane. How did you get rid of it at night???
LO still uses her pacifier at night, but eventually I will wean it from her in the next month or so. I've read the No Cry Sleep Solution (NCSS). It has a technique on getting rid of pacifiers. HTH!
We used The SleepEasy Solution (book) to help us sleep train. It says that baby needs the same conditions she fell asleep under to go back to sleep. thus, if she fell asleep with a paci and wakes up, she needs the paci again If she fell asleep with you rocking her and wakes up, she wants to be rocked again (the theory behind drowsy but awake put-downs).
We took the paci away the very first night and DD went to sleep without it and did not keep waking up - amazing! Now, she does have a bunny habit (her lovey) - if it gets out of her reach she cries, BUT it is much easier for her to find her bunny than to reinsert her paci.
Good luck!
