Fabulous way to start my morning with the vag cam . . . I still have my cyst. Grr! Dr. is recommending they aspirate before I can start Lupron on or about January 30. What can I expect? According to RE, I will be completly out and miss one day of work but back to work the next day. TIA.

Re: Have you had an ovarian cyst aspirated?
I just had one done a week and a half ago
They didn't have to put me out though, I was fully awake through the entire thing and actually went back to work afterward. Mine was also ultrasound guided using a small needle attached to a vacuum that suctioned the fluid out. I wrote about it in my blog a little bit if you wanted to read it.

I know the feeling of seeing the sucker on the screen - like W.T.F?
Good luck and it's not THAT bad at all!
My experience was similar to WOARH. I was not out during the procedure and it was guided by ultrasound. However that had to be one of the most painful things I've experienced. It was over quickly and I was able to return to work.
I must say that the pain only lasted as long as the stick of the needle. FWIW, I have a low threshold for pain.
