You can induce vomiting in a 45 lb lab who has eaten somewhere between 30-50 200mg progesterone pills by feeding them 1/2 a slice of bread and then using a turkey baster to get 1/8 C of hydrogen peroxide down their throat. If they don't puke, skip the bread and double the hydrogen peroxide.
Then take the dog to the emergency vet to have their liver levels checked.
Then try not to wring the dog's neck for eating the stupid pills in the first place when they were in a duffle bag on your bed that he had to break into and break open the bottle of pills. (hint: childproof does not = dog proof.)
FYI: Labs will eat ANYTHING.
He's fine, btw. Dumb as a box of rocks, but fine.
Re: FYI: if your dog eats your progesterone

If there's one thing I've learned while waiting my turn,
it's that in each life some rain falls but you also get some sun.
After 2 years & 2 losses, our little man arrived 8-2011.
OMG! That's crazy.
Glad to hear he is OK!

Glad he's okay.
And his uterine lining will be all ready for implantation. Oh wait...
i agree!!!
I'm surprised he ate them. They are bitter as hell!
My beagle once ate an entire pack of my birth ontrol pills. she went on to have 6 healthy puppies a few months later.
hahaha, too funny! We have a white lab and she as well tends to be much like a box of rocks but she's just to sweet and loving to be mad at for more then a few minutes!!
Animals are something else, They are always good for a laugh...atleast right up till you have to truck out to the pharmacy and spend more money on your meds again!!
I'm just glad I had a refill and don't have to explain this to the RE!
