Babies: 3 - 6 Months

4 month wake period...

Can someone please give me advice on what you did. LO STTN from 7wks until 12 wks then added another feeding and last week started added a 2nd feeding. Now he wont sleep in his crib. I feel like I am losing and researching it online isn't helping.

TIA

  • Just keep your routines consistent and do what feels right. It was only really bad for about a week here, where he was up 3 or more times a night. We never really had a "rule" but in general, I would not bring him in our room until after 3AM. That was more out of exhaustion than anything, but I think it helped him continue to associate his room with sleep. We kept our bedtime routine consistent, and I tried to have DH check as much as possible, b/c since we're EBFing if he smells or sees me he wants the boob. He's now back to 7+hours the last 3 nights, and going to sleep on him own again both at bedtime and after any middle of the night feedings.

We also suspect teething pain, so if you are comfortable with it, Hyland's and/or Tylenol helped him get 3-4 hours at a time most nights.

Um, yeah. The Bump be too crazy for pics of my kid.
