Thanks for all your wonderful advice about flying with milk!

I got back last night from a 4-day school trip.  I successfully transported about 55oz of milk for DD!  I really appreciate everyone's advice about safely storing/cooling the milk and smoothly getting through airport security!  It's good to be home. Smile

  • What did you end up doing?  Glad it worked!  I can't imagine the anxiety of flying with milk and worrying about it spoiling or being dumped.

  • Well, I definitely underestimated what 3 1/2 days of milk would look like!  I kept the milk in Lasinoh storage bags in the fridge until I was ready to leave. Then I put half of them in my small cooler with an icepack and half in a gallon ziplock with an icepack. It was under 8 hours from there to home, so I didn't feel like I had to be too paranoid about temperature. Security was only a minor hassle. The only bad point was that one of the bags leaked a little. Not sure if it was a bag issue or me not sealing it properly. All in all it was a successful trip!
