Babies: 3 - 6 Months

DH is on my last nerve today ... (vent)

So DH had today off, I had to work. We were planning on taking DS to daycare so DH could have a day truly off. Well, I asked him last night if he could get up with the baby so I could get a full night's sleep without getting up at 4-5 AM since he could go back to sleep once we were gone. I thought he said yes .... but apparently he said "probably." WTF?! I got up with the baby all the time when he had to go to work so he could get a good night's sleep, because I didn't have to go to work the next day.  He got up with the baby when he woke at like 1 or 2; baby was up for like an hour, hour and a half. Then came back to bed ... and when the baby woke up later at 6, he asked me to get up. I hadn't slept well and said I'd like him to get up so I could get that last hour of (hopefully) sleep.  He started whining and acting pizzy, so I said screw it, got up, and got the baby.

Then he was off all day. I expected him to do pretty much nothing, but it would've been nice if he could've done the dishes.  I called him and when I asked what he was doing and just said, "nothin'" which meant he was doing something that was for me - like cleaning.

I get home and he did one load of LOs laundry (which needed to be done anyway), and had gotten started sorting the laundry in our bedroom which is everywhere. (Seriously you can't see the floor, it's ridiculous ... we have to pay for laundry so we only wash the necessities these days and LOs clothes). He barely got anything done but is acting like it's such a big deal.

I'm trying not to be a b!tch and rain on the parade because I should be appreciative of the effort. But seriously?!

I dunno. I guess I'm just in a b!tchy mood. Thanks for the random vent.

  • Oh I hear ya! DH had the day off today too! But guess who got up with her at 1am and then at 4am..ME! He tells me, "I replaced her pacifier"....I'm like, "um yeah ONCE! I did it the other 10 times!" He claims he didn't hear her!

Then he kept finding things to do before he picked her up from daycare! If I had the day off, I would have LOVED to have spent it with my DD! Ugh! Makes me so mad!!!!

  • Just some more evidence that men are naturally more selfish than women.  Sounds like a 5 year old.  Does he want you to take him to Chuck E. Cheese as a reward?

You're kidding me, right?  So if they are naturally more selfish does that excuse away the behavior.  It's in their genetics so it's really not their fault?
