So last Friday my LO started coughing just a little. She's had a cold/stuffy nose for the last couple of weeks so I didn't think much of it. Over the weekend the cough got worse and by this morning I decided we better see the pedi. While the test wasn't positive, our pedi is 99% sure LO has RSV. So we had a nebulizer treatment and came home with recommendations to keep her home and observed until Thursday to see if she worsens. Recalling that I had seen a nebulizer at our daycare lady's house last week, I called to ask what that child had infection-wise. Guess what? You've got it...RSV!! Which is highly contagious!!!!!! And my daycare lady never said a damn word to me and allowed the infant back in daycare the same day as the + RSV test with 3 other infants (including mine). So now I'm off work 3 days this week and pissed at my daycare lady. ![]()

Re: Grrrr...Daycare Vent!!!
I know in my state licensing requires contageous illness in the daycare be posted (e.g a sign up that says a child (no names used) has tested pos. for strep).
That is not okay.

Exactly! 3 days off work, copay, no meds yet but if LO gets worse she will be on nebulizer treatments...all because my daycare lady seems to care more about $$.
