Have you ever read the blog makeitandloveit? Well, it's AMAZING- she does all sorts of precious things like repurposing women's shirts into little girl's dresses and boy's pants from an old pair of men's shorts. She also has an etsy shop, where she sells some items and a lot of PDF patterns for cute projects.
I bought her pattern for the Little Guy Tie and sweet jeebus it's cute! The pattern lets you make any size from 0-6 month to boys. I do not think I am in any way a seamstress, but the pattern has step by step photos (just like on her blog) and has references to other website for specific actions/stitches if you don't know how to do them. She's like the Pioneer Woman of crafting! haha
Here's her photo off the website:

And these are the two I made for Noah and his BFF, Quin:

(you can't see but there is velcro on the back of the tie that is adjustable so it will fit Noah for a long while)
They wore them to church yesterday and the ladys in the nursery were like "Oh no he is not wearing a tie! How cute!"
I love it!
